It's been a while

So needless to say, it has been a while since last I posted on this here blog. I suppose the biggest news in my life is the fact that I am now engaged to the woman who far surpasses my dreams. I always imagined that I would marry the girl of my dreams. I never imagined I would marry a woman who far surpases those dreams. Now a week into our engagement, the fact that in five short months I will be getting married is beginning to settle in. Every time I think about all that has happened during the past year and a half, I am just blown away by God's incredible goodness. He has guided Ashley and my footsteps every step of the way, and has worked things together so that I can have no doubt whatsover that Ashley is the girl I am supposed to spend the rest of my life with. I, like every guy before me, was always concerned about how I was supposed to know if I had found the "one." Now that I have, I wonder how I could have ever worried about it. From sitting next to eachother in a class named "Money, Sex, and Power," to that first date, to the first kiss, to the move, to the engagement, God has guided us together. Who knew that when that cute girl in my bible class sat next to me I would be marrying her almost two years later? Who knew that when I had the guts to ask her out, twice, I would be asking her to marry me just over a year later? Who knew that my move to TX meant waiting only 7 months until I got married, instead of almost 2 years? God did. And I have no doubt in my mind that he orchostrated it to be exactly the way its been. Now I cannot, I say again, CANNOT wait for July to come. I keep remarking that I am going ot make a paper chain for this. I am actually seriously thinking about it. With two and a half months of training between now and July 26, this time is going to fly by. God willing, before I know it, it will be July.

Besides that, life in Texas continues on without too much to speak about. Between work, classes, and now wedding planning, I keep myself busy. In fact, I have very little free time to speak of. Taking 3 half days a week for classes, plus leaving early the other two days to go to the gym, my weeks go by fairly quickly. Mom and dad come out in a week and a half. Three days after that I head to CA for four days, then back for two weeks and off to Alabama for some actual training. Can't wait. 8 weeks later I'll be in the air for the first time. Hoorrrahhhh! Thank you all for your prayers. I can't wait to hear from some of you soon.
